Frequently asked questions
My child is two and a half: nursery or preschool?
Some schools open a petite section (the first year of preschool) or a bridging class from two and a half. If your child is potty-trained, comfortable in a group and already used to childcare, preschool can work. Otherwise, a final year at nursery is still a good choice.
Can one school offer both a nursery and a preschool?
Yes, many private schools in Morocco have both a nursery section and a preschool section. This makes the transition easier, since the child already knows the premises and some of the staff.
Is preschool compulsory in Morocco?
Preschool is being rolled out nationwide as a matter of policy, and the vast majority of families enroll their child before primary school. For entry into the first year of primary school, ask the school you have chosen about its expectations.
