Question 1

Is Olipo free for families?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Searching, comparing, saving favorites, requesting a visit or sending a pre-registration costs nothing and doesn't require an account.

Question 2

How do I find a school near me?

Accepted Answer

Search by school name, city or neighborhood, then narrow down by grade level, school system, teaching language, budget, school transport and canteen. Each city also has its own page, broken down by type of school.

Question 3

Is the information on school profiles reliable?

Accepted Answer

Every profile is reviewed by our team before it's published, then kept up to date by the school from its workspace. If a piece of information looks wrong, report it from the Contact page and we'll have it corrected.

Question 4

Are the tuition fees shown final?

Accepted Answer

Fees are provided by the schools, grade by grade, in dirhams. They can change from one year to the next: always confirm the amount and any extra costs (registration, transport, canteen, supplies) during your visit.

Question 5

How do I compare several schools?

Accepted Answer

Add up to four schools to the comparison tool from the search results or their profile. You see their curriculum, languages, fees and services side by side.

Question 6

How do I request a visit?

Accepted Answer

If the school's profile shows the “Request a visit” button, click it and give your availability: the school receives your request by email and gets back to you to set up the appointment, and you receive a confirmation. Otherwise, contact the school directly by phone, email or through its website, listed on its profile.

Question 7

Can I pre-register my child online?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with the pre-registration button on the profile. You enter the child's and parents' details and can attach documents. The school reviews the application and lets you know its decision by email.

Question 8

How do I keep a list of the schools I'm interested in?

Accepted Answer

Add them to your favorites with the heart on each profile. The list is saved on your device, with no account, and you can write down your impressions.

Question 9

Which school system should I choose for my child?

Accepted Answer

It depends on their background, the languages spoken at home and your plans for further study. Our guides compare the Moroccan, French, British and American systems and the International Baccalaureate.

Question 10

My child's school uses Olipo: how do I access my account?

Accepted Answer

The school sends you your login details by email. Then sign in with “Sign in”, then “Families & teachers”, to see homework, the timetable and the school diary.

Question 11

How do I register my school on Olipo?

Accepted Answer

Fill in the “Register my school” form with the school's name, type, city, contact details and a short description. Our team reviews the request, then lets you know by email when the profile is published.

Question 12

Does it cost anything to be listed in the directory?

Accepted Answer

The basic profile is free, with one photo. The enhanced profile, at 300 DH per month, adds unlimited photos and the “Request a visit” and “Send a pre-registration” buttons. The featured listing, an option of the enhanced profile, costs 500 DH more per month per city and puts your school at the top of its city. The management software is optional and billed separately.

Question 13

How do I update my school's profile?

Accepted Answer

From your school workspace, under “My school”: overview, teaching approach, languages, grade levels, fees, transport, canteen, staff, campus and photos.

Question 14

How do I receive visit requests and pre-registrations?

Accepted Answer

Each visit request is sent to you by email. With the management software, you also find requests and pre-registration files in your workspace, with their status: admissions are included in Base.

Question 15

What does the school management software include?

Accepted Answer

People and classes, timetables (manual or generated automatically), attendance and absences, homework diary, school diary for parents, emails and announcements, admissions and re-enrollments, finance, photo galleries and a portal for parents, students and teachers.

Question 16

How much does the software cost?

Accepted Answer

The price depends on the number of students (Small, Medium and Large plans) and the modules you choose. The Base module is required and every school can try the software free for 30 days. Details are on the Pricing page.

Question 17

Can we import our existing students and teachers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A CSV template is provided: fill it in with your students, teachers, staff and contacts, then import it in one go.

Question 18

Do parents, students and teachers get their own access?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with the Portal module. You create their accounts from each person's record and they receive their login details by email. Everyone only sees what concerns them.

Question 19

Who can see my school's data?

Accepted Answer

Management data (students, finance, absences…) is only visible to your school's accounts, according to their role and permissions. Only the information on the public profile is shown in the directory.
